Vigliaturo presents motherhood like a physical continuity mother-son that considers babies as appendages of the mother. The natural moment of the detachment is denied and presented as a germination from the woman’s body. From the sweetness and the quiet, innocent, intimacy of these pregnant women’s figures, from their universe of beauty, balance and serenity, from the very strong compositional impact, the artist leads us to a calm but deep moral reflection on why many women deny motherhood.

You can observe the wonderfully rounded volumes of the maternal wombs and the prominence of the bodies reproduced with a play of refined shadings.

Music has been produced by Valerio Manni (artistic director Valerio Vigliaturo’s stage-name).
